The centrally heated farmhouse has been lovingly refurbished in an earth-friendly way, with many unique
features inside, from stained glass to organic woodwork, original artworks and hand-printed prayerflags.
Upstairs is the bathroom and two large bedrooms, each with a double and single bed in them. Both face West,
towards the river Esk which winds through the valley, and the Loupin Stanes. This is one of many prehistoric sites
in the area, including the Girdle Stanes, another ancient stone circle twenty minutes further downstream.
Half-way up the stairs, there is a cosy single with a skylight to the
stars and and its own secret 'Mousehole', also with a single bed in it.
Downstairs is the sitting room, with an open fireplace. This holds an extensive library, specialising in books
of a spiritual and esoteric nature. This leads to the well-equipped kitchen, which also has a washer & dryer.
There's also wifi, DVD player & DVDs and many instruments, including a harmonium,
music from which features here :) (But be warned, there's no telly at Rennaldburn!)
My cat, Tashi, and I live in the back of the house, but the holiday
let side is completely self contained, with its own front door.
It's child-friendly here, with cot, high chair and child safety gates available…& also
pet-friendly, as long as any canine guests don’t chase Tashi or the surrounding sheep!
